The Park
BOARDWALK
The Boardwalk ran from east to west through the main portion of the park. On either side were games, amusements, food stands, the Bandstand and Pool Hall. The People's Railway also had a trolley stop along the Boardwalk in the center of the park.

Nothing remains of the Boardwalk today. However, one of the foot trails closely follows the path of the Boardwalk.

Walking this trail on a warm summer day, when a cool breeze blows through the park, it's easy to imagine why people were drawn here to what was suburbia 100 years ago to escape the sweltering heat of the city.
